After thorough examination by TÜV Rheinland, ToolKid has been validated world’s first safe tools for children in accordance with the European regulation ‘Toy Safety Directive 2009/49/EC’. With this, ToolKid meets the very strict international toy safety regulations.
We paid a lot of attention to safety from the very first moment of development and production.
Therefore the tools meet the strict requirements of European regulation for materials as set out in the directive EN71-1:2011 and EN 71 Part 3: 1994 + A1: / AC : 2002 : Migration of certain elements.
For ToolKid, safety is far more than just using the proper materials for the products. For this reason on our own initiative, last year the tools were presented to TÜV Rheinland.
TÜV Rheinland conducted physical tests to assess the user safety of the tools. ToolKid passed these tests and, with that, set a worldwide standard for safe tools for children, even though tools are not required to meet the regulations for toy safety.
