The ToolKid claw hammer has an ergonomically shaped handle and shaft made of fiberglass with balanced and resilient properties. When hammering, it is important that you hold and move the hammer in the right way. When children use a hammer, they tend to hold the hammer right under the head and ‘push’ the nail into the wood. The flange at the top of the handle ensures that they hold the hammer at the handle and that the correct hammering motion is stimulated. The handle has the ToolKid profile for a firm grip.
Not just the handle but also the weight of the hammer’s head and the length of the shaft are perfectly attuned to the size of children’s hands and the physical development of children aged 5 to 12.
